General

I received an email saying that if I did not publish an article for exchange, my account would be downgraded. What does this mean?

Temporarily, we offer a FREEPREMIUM account with an unlimited number of articles to submit and exchanges to make. This is done to stimulate the exchange community and start intensive exchanging. Unfortunately, we have a lot of customers who registered their account with this offer who do not publish articles for exchange. The number of FREEPREMIUM accounts is limited. You have 3 days to start publishing your articles for exchange. After that, we have to downgrade those who do not publish to FREE account and open up places for additional customers. The FREE account has a 5 exchange limit and can be upgraded to the PREMIUM unlimited account in the future.

On the article page that I created, I noticed links to articles-exchange.com. How can I get rid of them?

Those links are set in order to promote our website and develop a larger community of exchangers. Only the premium account will have a switch to remove those links.

Setup

I used a site builder to create my website. I don't have FTP access to my web server. I usually use a front page interface to modify my pages. Can I use this service?

Unfortunately, no. This service requires placing a code page on your web server, which means either you or your web master, must have access to your web server directories.

I build my own web pages and only understand simple html links. I don't know where to begin with the codes presented on your site. Is there an easier way?

In order to participate in our article exchange you must have FTP access to your web server. You should also know which scripting language your web server supports. Your account provides a source code for one of the following scripting languages: PHP, ASP, ASP.NET, and Coldfusion. Follow these simple steps to setup your code page: 1. Create a simple text file and save it on your computer with one of the appropriate extensions (.php, .asp, .aspx, .cfm). 2. Copy and paste the appropriate code into this file. 3. FTP this file on your web server. 4. Create a link to this file on your home page.

I created the articles page and used your code. It works but it is ugly. How can I make it look like the rest of my pages?

For your articles page, we supply a code that returns pure HTML content. If you use it "AS IS", it will not be pretty. But you can make it look like the rest of your website. Just embrace the supplied code with HTML that creates the look for your website and it is done. Don’t forget to make a title tag and a Meta tad "description" that is relevant to your website's words. This is very important for search engines. Let us know if you have problems with this task. We can give you advice to help you or do it for you for a small fee.

Exchange

How do I start exchanging articles?

Go to your account, click the "Available articles" button, find an article you like and send a request to exchange with it. You don't need to specify your article. It is up to your future partner to select one of your articles.

I received an email where somebody asks me to exchange articles. What should I do?

Go to your account and see "Requests received". You can browse the site, read all the articles from that site and decide whether to exchange or not.

I don't want to exchange articles with everyone. Do I have a control over with whom I exchange my articles?

Yes. You have full control over your exchanges. First of all, you and your partner must agree upon the exchange. After that, neither you nor your partner can change anything in the exchange. However, you and/or your partner can stop exchanging by canceling this exchange at any time.
